Flowers in the Church

If you enjoy flower arranging and would like to use your gifts and skills to help make the church beautiful each Sunday, you'd be most welcome to join the team who does this work. We're a group of people -- all women so far, but we'd welcome some men -- who provide the two main arrangements of flowers and foliage, by the pulpit and next to the altar.

Flowers and greenery come from our own gardens or friends' gardens, and / or we buy flowers. A flower fund reimburses costs.

If you join us your name will come up on the rota 2, 3 or 4 times a year, depending on how many people are on the list. We usually arrange flowers on the Friday or Saturday before the Sunday to which our name has been allocated. Dates can be swapped as you need.

We're rather short of flower arrangers just now, and would weclome you with open arms. Please don't be shy or unsure. I'd be happy to show you the ropes for the first few times. Do see me after church.
